Deadly Dough – Thursday 21st & 29 May – Melton

Part 1 – Create

Come through and get your hands into something deadly. In this first session we will be mixing up our own beautiful dough using native flavours like wattleseed and lemon myrtle, bringing a little bit of culture into every piece. It’s all about slowing down, having a yarn and creating something meaningful together. Shape and design your own deadly ornaments that we’ll dry and set, ready for the next step. Nothing but good vibes, creativity, and connection.

Part 2 – Decorate

Now it’s time to bring your pieces to life! In part two we will be painting and decorating the ornaments you created, adding your own style, colours and story. Whether you go bold, soft or something in between this is your space to express yourself and have a laugh with the sisters. Sit, yarn and get creative as we turn those handmade pieces into something truly personal and deadly to take home.

To avoid missing out, please make sure to register by calling the Koori Women’s Place on 9244 3333 or kwp@djirra.org.au

Warrior Heart Rising – Wednesday 27th May – Online

Shantelle is a proud Barkindji/Ngiyampaa woman, world champion athlete, speaker, storyteller, and founder of the Kiilalaana Foundation.

This workshop is a culturally grounded, Dreaming-led gathering rooted in First Nations ways of knowing, being, and doing. It is a trauma-informed, strength-based space that honours the whole woman—body, mind, spirit, culture, and purpose.

Through voice, movement, reflection, storytelling, and cultural practice, women are supported to reconnect with their inner knowing, strength, and sovereignty. Shentelle invites women to return home to themselves and move beyond survival, burnout, and self-abandonment, toward wellbeing, self-trust, and wholeness.

This is a space of remembering—guided by Dreaming—where women rise in their own time and lead from fullness rather than exhaustion.

To avoid missing out, please make sure to register by calling the Koori Women’s Place on 9244 3333 or kwp@djirra.org.au
